GRAVE SIDE SERVICE: A casual gathering of friends and family will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Oblong Cemetery with a short service by Bro. Dee Wolfe.

Terry Bailey, 63, Oblong, IL passed away at 9:32 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN.
Terry was born on May 23, 1952 in Effingham, IL and was the son of Hanzel Bailey and Barbara Jean (Ellis) Bailey. On May 1, 1992 he married Barbara Jene Sanders.
Terry retired from Victor Dana in 2014 after working there for 41 years. Terry started in 1973 in the Mill Room for 19 years and was working in the Gasket Store when he retired. Terry was a member of the Newton High School Class of 1970 and had been a member of one of the Oblong CB Clubs. Terry collected all kinds of Camel cigarette items and Zippo lighters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially enjoyed the time he spent at the cabin that he and Barb had.
Terry is survived by his wife Barb Bailey of Oblong, IL; daughter and son-in-law LeeAnn and Mike Rosborough of Hardinville, IL; four grandchildren Megan, Alyssa and Ian Rosborough all of Hardinville, IL and Ruslan Batman of Madison, IN; sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Wayne Bower of Wheeler, IL; step-daughter Delberta Batman of Madison, IN; step-brothers David and Beverley Hess of Effingham, IL, Steve and Penny Hess of Neoga, IL and William “Willy” Hess of Effingham, IL; step-sisters Nellie and Greg Riffle of Joliet, IL and Patricia and Tommy Long of Trezevant, TN; also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Hanzel Bailey and Barbara J. Bailey Hess.
